PorkBelly Legal

Terms and Conditions.

These Terms govern access to and use of PorkBelly websites, digital services, communities, marketplace functions, opportunity networks, applications, paid access areas, social features, and related services.

Effective: 15 July 2026South AfricaAll PorkBelly users and visitors
Please read these Terms carefully. By visiting, registering, submitting an application, creating a profile, listing or purchasing an item, communicating with another user, joining a community, making a payment, or using any PorkBelly service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms and Conditions constitute a binding agreement between you and the operator of PorkBelly in relation to your use of PorkBelly. Where you use a specific PorkBelly service, additional service rules, application conditions, payment terms, safety rules, consent notices, listing rules, or community standards may also apply.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access, register for, pay for, or use PorkBelly.

2. Relationship between PorkBelly and Mingilo

PorkBelly is a broader social, community, marketplace, participation, and opportunity network. Mingilo is a dating and social-connection network operating within the wider PorkBelly social-community environment.

PorkBelly is not the same service as Mingilo. PorkBelly may, nevertheless, use Mingilo-owned or Mingilo-branded domains, subdomains, software, login systems, forms, payment pages, support channels, hosting, or other digital infrastructure while PorkBelly develops and operates its own infrastructure.

The appearance of a PorkBelly page on a Mingilo domain does not by itself change the identity, purpose, rules, or nature of the PorkBelly service being used. References to “PorkBelly”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in these Terms refer to the operator responsible for the applicable PorkBelly service.

3. Eligibility and age requirements

General PorkBelly services may have different age requirements depending on the service, listing, opportunity, marketplace category, event, partner, or applicable law.

PorkBelly Private, Private Belly, PorkBelly 18, VIP Connections, adults-only communities, and any service expressly marked “18+” are available only to persons aged 18 years or older.

You may be required to provide accurate age, identity, location, or eligibility information. We may refuse, restrict, or terminate access where eligibility cannot be verified or where information appears false, inconsistent, incomplete, or misleading.

4. Registration, accounts, and profiles

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering, applying, listing, purchasing, selling, joining a community, or creating a profile.

  • You are responsible for safeguarding your password and access credentials.
  • You may not create an account for another person without lawful authority.
  • You may not impersonate another person, business, organisation, or representative.
  • You must promptly update information that becomes inaccurate or outdated.
  • You are responsible for activities performed through your account, except where caused by our own unlawful conduct.

We may require identity, age, contact, payment, business, listing, or other verification before activating or maintaining access.

5. PorkBelly services

PorkBelly may provide or facilitate access to:

  • online communities and social participation areas;
  • the PorkBelly Marketplace;
  • seller, buyer, service-provider, and customer interactions;
  • applications, profiles, talent, creator, professional, and opportunity networks;
  • PorkBelly Private, Private Belly, PorkBelly 18, and VIP Connections;
  • social, lifestyle, wellness, hosting, coaching, companionship, and approved community services;
  • events, projects, campaigns, partner opportunities, bookings, and coordination services;
  • Mingilo dating and social-connection services; and
  • support, payment, communication, verification, and administration services.

We may introduce, change, suspend, combine, rename, relocate, or discontinue services, pages, features, communities, or categories where reasonably required.

6. PorkBelly Marketplace

The PorkBelly Marketplace enables members and other approved users to list, market, buy, sell, or enquire about products, services, offers, and other permitted items.

Unless PorkBelly is expressly identified as the seller or service provider, transactions are concluded between the relevant buyer and seller. Sellers are responsible for their listings, lawful authority to sell, product or service quality, pricing, delivery, warranties, disclosures, taxes, licences, and compliance with applicable law.

Users may not list or transact in:

  • illegal, stolen, counterfeit, fraudulent, or unlawfully obtained goods;
  • weapons, prohibited substances, unlawful medicines, or controlled items without lawful authority;
  • services involving coercion, exploitation, trafficking, abuse, or unlawful sexual conduct;
  • content or services involving minors in any adult or sexual context;
  • misleading investment, employment, income, or business opportunities;
  • personal data belonging to another person without lawful authority; or
  • anything prohibited by PorkBelly rules, payment providers, hosting providers, or applicable law.

We may review, restrict, remove, or decline listings, but we are not obliged to pre-screen every listing or verify every claim made by a marketplace user.

7. Applications, opportunities, partners, and bookings

PorkBelly may operate as a connection, application, onboarding, referral, coordination, or opportunity platform. Unless expressly stated in writing, PorkBelly is not the direct employer, buyer, seller, client, agency, venue, organiser, or service provider involved in a third-party opportunity.

An application, registration, onboarding fee, profile, referral, introduction, booking request, or payment does not guarantee employment, approval, selection, representation, work, income, connection, sale, booking, attendance, or any other outcome.

Independent partners, clients, buyers, sellers, coordinators, organisers, or service providers determine their own requirements and final decisions. Users must independently assess an opportunity, person, product, service, meeting, or transaction before proceeding.

8. PorkBelly Private, Private Belly, PorkBelly 18, and VIP Connections

These are adults-only or restricted-access areas intended for lawful, consensual, respectful, and appropriately verified participation. Available categories may include adult social participation, private connections, lifestyle services, wellness, hosting, coaching, companionship, entertainment, and other permitted community services.

PorkBelly does not permit trafficking, exploitation, coercion, violence, abuse, non-consensual conduct, sexual activity involving minors, or any service or transaction prohibited by law.

Every participant controls their own boundaries and decision to communicate, meet, offer, receive, accept, decline, or discontinue participation. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. A profile, application, payment, membership, introduction, or coordinator contact never replaces the need for ongoing, informed, voluntary consent between adults.

We may require additional age, identity, eligibility, location, or safety verification for restricted services. We may refuse or end access where we believe participation may create legal, safety, reputational, or operational risk.

9. Acceptable use and prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • harass, threaten, stalk, shame, blackmail, exploit, or intimidate another person;
  • use deception, coercion, pressure, manipulation, intoxication, or force to obtain consent;
  • publish private, intimate, identifying, or confidential material without lawful consent;
  • send scams, spam, malware, harmful links, or fraudulent payment requests;
  • circumvent age restrictions, access controls, suspensions, verification, payment requirements, or security systems;
  • scrape, copy, harvest, sell, or misuse user data;
  • use PorkBelly for unlawful discrimination or prohibited conduct;
  • make false claims about employment, income, products, services, qualifications, health, identity, availability, or results;
  • interfere with the website, servers, forms, payment systems, or other users; or
  • use PorkBelly in any manner that violates applicable law or another person’s rights.

10. User content, listings, profiles, and communications

You retain ownership of content you lawfully submit. You grant PorkBelly a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display, transmit, moderate, and use that content only to operate, promote, secure, administer, and improve the applicable PorkBelly service.

You warrant that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the content and that it is accurate, lawful, and does not violate privacy, intellectual-property, personality, contractual, or other rights.

We may remove, restrict, preserve, or disclose content where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, comply with law, respond to complaints, protect users, investigate abuse, or preserve evidence.

11. Fees, payments, and activation

Certain services require registration, onboarding, access, marketplace, listing, booking, subscription, coordination, or other fees. The applicable amount and payment purpose should be shown before payment.

Payments may be processed by independent payment providers. You must provide accurate payment information and must not use a payment method without lawful authority.

Access may remain pending until payment is successfully received, allocated, and verified. Where a page states that an unpaid application will expire or be discarded after a specified period, that rule forms part of these Terms for that application.

Payment does not guarantee a match, opportunity, booking, sale, service provider, buyer, customer, partner, event, income, approval, or other result.

12. Cancellations, refunds, and chargebacks

Refund rights depend on the service purchased, whether performance has begun, the nature of any digital or access service, applicable consumer law, and the specific payment terms displayed at checkout.

A user seeking a refund must contact support promptly and provide sufficient transaction details. Nothing in these Terms excludes a non-waivable right available under applicable consumer law.

Fraudulent, abusive, or dishonest chargebacks may result in account restriction, debt recovery, cancellation of access, or further lawful action.

13. Safety and offline interactions

PorkBelly cannot guarantee the identity, intentions, background, conduct, suitability, legality, safety, or accuracy of every user, listing, partner, provider, buyer, seller, event, service, or opportunity.

You are responsible for exercising reasonable judgment, protecting personal information, verifying relevant details, meeting in appropriate environments, telling a trusted person where appropriate, arranging safe transport, and ending any interaction that feels unsafe.

PorkBelly support is not an emergency service. Contact local emergency services or law enforcement where there is an immediate risk of harm. Report suspected fraud, exploitation, harassment, impersonation, privacy abuse, or other serious misconduct to PorkBelly support.

14. Privacy and personal information

Personal information may be processed to register users, manage accounts, review applications, facilitate marketplace transactions, administer communities, process payments, coordinate services, communicate with users, investigate abuse, protect safety, meet legal obligations, and operate PorkBelly.

Processing is further governed by the applicable Privacy Policy and consent notices. By using PorkBelly, you acknowledge that information may be shared with service providers, payment processors, hosting providers, coordinators, relevant partners, or authorities where reasonably necessary and lawful.

You must not misuse another person’s personal information obtained through PorkBelly. Cross-border processing may occur where providers, partners, or infrastructure are located outside South Africa, subject to applicable safeguards.

15. Intellectual property

PorkBelly names, logos, designs, software, page layouts, graphics, databases, written content, systems, and other platform materials are owned by or licensed to the relevant operator and are protected by applicable law.

You may use the website only for its intended personal or business purpose. You may not copy, reproduce, reverse engineer, commercially exploit, remove branding from, or create derivative versions of platform materials without written permission, except where permitted by law.

16. Third-party links, providers, and infrastructure

PorkBelly may link to, embed, or rely on third-party websites, payment processors, messaging services, marketplace systems, forms, maps, hosting providers, social networks, partners, and other tools.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. PorkBelly is not responsible for an independent third party’s availability, security, content, decisions, products, services, acts, or omissions, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Platform and service disclaimers

PorkBelly is provided on an “as available” basis. We aim to maintain a useful and secure service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, permanent availability, a minimum number of users, or the success of any marketplace, opportunity, community, social, private, or booking interaction.

Information supplied by users, sellers, providers, partners, or other third parties is not necessarily verified or endorsed by PorkBelly. Users must make their own informed decisions.

18. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PorkBelly will not be liable for indirect, consequential, special, incidental, exemplary, or punitive loss arising from use of the platform, including loss of income, opportunity, data, reputation, anticipated savings, or business.

PorkBelly is not responsible for private agreements, offline conduct, user-to-user disputes, third-party transactions, inaccurate listings, failed opportunities, partner decisions, or unauthorised conduct by another user, except where liability arises from PorkBelly’s own unlawful conduct and cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by unlawful conduct, or any liability that applicable law prohibits us from excluding.

19. Moderation, suspension, and termination

We may investigate, warn, restrict, suspend, remove, deactivate, or terminate an account, listing, application, profile, payment access, community membership, or other participation where reasonably necessary to:

  • enforce these Terms or service-specific rules;
  • protect users, partners, the public, or PorkBelly;
  • respond to fraud, abuse, safety concerns, disputes, or complaints;
  • comply with legal, payment-provider, hosting, or regulatory requirements;
  • address unpaid fees, chargebacks, false information, or misuse; or
  • manage operational, legal, security, or reputational risk.

Serious conduct may result in immediate termination without prior notice. Relevant records may be retained where lawfully required.

20. Complaints, disputes, and governing law

Users should first submit a clear complaint to PorkBelly support, including relevant account, transaction, listing, application, and communication details.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Subject to any mandatory consumer right or statutory forum, disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be submitted to a court or competent dispute-resolution body with jurisdiction in South Africa.

21. General provisions

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect legal, operational, security, payment, technology, or service changes. The updated effective date will be displayed on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or registered contact details.

Severability

If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.

No waiver

A failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.

Assignment

You may not transfer your account or rights under these Terms without written consent. PorkBelly may transfer operational rights and obligations as part of a lawful restructuring, service transfer, partnership, or succession arrangement.

Entire agreement

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, payment terms, service-specific rules, consent notices, and any written agreement applicable to a particular service form the agreement governing your use of PorkBelly.
